This course is designed to enable operators of high-pressure water jetting equipment to work safely and professionally, and in accordance with the Water Jetting Association Code of Practice. It will cover topics such as the nature of jetting equipment, as well as potential hazards, injuries and risk from improper use. In addition, participants will be given knowledge of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and how these may be used in operation.
This course aims to enable operators of high-pressure water jetting equipment to understand the background, legislation and risks of the use of this equipment, as well as becoming familiar with the guidance of the Water Jetting Association Code of Practice.
For personnel conducting hazardous work activities or entering Restricted
Areas to do so are required to work under the Permit to Work System. Also, it is for those responsible for issuing and receiving permits.
This course requires onsite high-pressure equipment that is certificated and fit for purpose. In addition, safety footwear, waterproofs, high visibility clothing and hearing and face protection are required for this training course.
This course is designed for anyone expected to use high-pressure water jetting equipment during the course of their work, as well as those responsible for management or supervision of their use.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to explain the methods of protecting equipment from frost, determining the steps necessary for safe operation, identify potential disease and accident risks, select appropriate PPE, and outline their maintenance responsibilities.
